Andrés Cimmarusti is currently a graduate student of the Department of Physics at the University of Maryland at College Park. He has been a member of the Quantum optics and francium spectroscopy group, part of the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI), under the supervision of Prof. Luis Orozco since August 2009. He got his undergraduate degree in physics at Universidad de los Andes, located in Mérida, Venezuela. He is interested in atomic, molecular and optical physics, despite the fact he worked in experimental particle physics for his undergraduate project.
His hobbies Include: computers, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, and reading.
