About Me

I'm a graduate student at the University of Maryland working in the Rubloff research group. I'm interested in developing high performance, high durability, recyclable materials for energy storage devices. I grew up in picturesque Ithaca, New York, where I was an avid Boy Scout, camper, runner, soccer player, trombone and guitar player.

I attended Colby College in Waterville, ME as a physics major. After graduating, I lived in Boston for a number of years and worked in industrial R& D. I joined Dr. Rubloff's research group in September 2009.

In my spare time I play guitar, bass, and synthesizer. I'm also into biking, racquetball, soccer, camping, cooking, and Apple computers. Check out my recipe page for some of my favorites, my music page for various projects and thoughts, and my Mac stuff page to check out some useful mac apps.
