Borrowing Materials:
Priddy Library has the same borrowing policies as the University of Maryland, College Park Libraries.
Current University System of Maryland (USMAI) students, faculty, employees, research affiliates,
special borrowers, alumani and freinds of the libraries have the borrowing privelges at Priddy Library.
Eligible borrowers can request materials online from any of the
USMAI Libraries by using
Catalog.
Requested library materials can be picked up and/or returned at any of the USMAI Library locations.
The due dates and renewal policies vary from one institution to another and are contingent upon which
USM library owns the material. For more informaion visit the page

Requesting a book:
The
Catalog Guide has detailed information on how to search the catalog.
Search the
Priddy Library
Catalog to find the item needed. If the material needed is not available in the Priddy Library collection
then search the
USMAI Catalog (except MCPS).
MCPS patrons should search the
University of Maryland, College Park Catalog
if the material needed is not in the Priddy Library collection.
Once successful in searching the item then in the item record click on "Availability"
to identified the location and status of the item. Click on "Request" tab .
Select your home institution from the list of institutions and log in using your 14-digit ID barcode number and last name
if you are an UMCP faculty, staff and student use your UM email address and password to login for authentication.
Select the preferred library location from the drop down menu where you want the item to be sent for pick up and then click on "Send."
You will be notified via email when item is available for pickup at your chosen library location.
To monitor the status of your request(s) click on
My Account in the
Catalog.
