This is Xin, first-year PhD student in the University of Maryland's College of Information Studies (iSchool), and Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL). I work with Prof. Joel Chan in the MegaCognition Lab, on the project of sensemaking technologies for collaboration at scale.
In the summer of 2018, I interned at DAMO Academy, Alibaba group on the project of Shopkeeper chatbot (dialog state tracking with C2C E-Commerce data). Previously, I finished my Master of Language Technologies prgram at Language Technologies Institute, SCS, CMU. I was working with Prof. Jamie Callan on information retrieval and social media analysis. Prior to CMU, I received my B.S. in Software Engineering from Zhejiang University, during which I also worked with Prof. Jimmy Lin on information retrieval evaluation in the University of Waterloo.
